Flowertrials 2008 - a great success for Beekenkamp!
More than 800 visitors from various different countries mean a very high turnout. Our trials with many innovations and concepts were of course viewed by growers but also attracted traders and retail businesses.
We presented for example Pot chrysanths Anastasia, the Aster Bente series, Celosia Kelos series, Coprosma, Helleborus Royal series, Minimato (cherry tomato), Gerbera Durora and the new Sinningia Multibell. In addition, a presentation for Retail (trade) took place where the various available concepts were shown.

On Thursday 12 June, we invited our customers to a creative and surprising evening. This evening consisted of a presentation by Waterdrinker’s Commercial Director Feico Smit and had for a theme ‘Een plant met een klant’ (A plant with a customer). Together with senior buyer Kees Berk, Feico Smit provided definitive examples of what plant presentations should look like and how these should be delivered. Their opinion and view on the future led to some very interesting discussions, that growers will be able to use to their advantage.
Next, those present were invited to take part in a workshop that was fun as well as educative: ‘Painting Colours’ led by artist-painter Hendrik van Veenendaal. The result of these creative efforts will find a prominent place in our office.
During the workshop, a ‘Colourful Dinner’ was served.
